Instructions
This item works best with foods that fill the bowl, such as soup, chili, macaroni & cheese, rice, etc. To extend the time your food stays hot, you may also want to preheat the bowl. Fill the bowl with tap water and microwave for 1 to 2 minutes. Empty the water out, dry the bowl and then put your hot food into the bowl and attach the lid immediately.
I saw this on The Today Show and thought it would be great for my kids. I prep the bowl with some hot water while I heat up their lunch, dump the water out and then put their lunch in the bowl to stay warm. They are so excited to have "hot lunch" now since I rarely allow them to get the hot lunch they offer at school. Another reviewer noted that it was hard to open. Not sure, but I think that is why the handle is there? Lift and turn the handle and it makes it easy for the kids to screw off the lid. Also, my husband had the same issue with the spoon until I showed him he hadn't snapped it into place! You need to open the spoon and then push the two pieces together until they click.
