The Bengal Club Tea Press is inspired by the old Bengal Club in Calcutta. During the late 1800's and early 1900's this elegant club was restricted to members of the Tea Trade and was considered the place to be seen. The French Press or Bengal Club Tea Press as we like to call it, produces an exceptionally flavorful tea because the leaves can fully expand. This method also of making tea allows you to use your favorite loose tea with out the worry of leaves in your cup.
Use four teaspoons of whole leaf tea and while the tea is steeping watch "the agony of the leaf" (tea tasters jargon) as the leaf uncurls, releasing all its hidden flavor and goodness.
The stainless steel filter of the Bengal Club Tea Press traps even the smallest of tea leaves. Cleaning is simple and fast since the Bengal Club Tea Press is dishwasher safe.
