I've had two knee straps for 15 years. They became ineffective for use during my tennis career, but in the last few years they've become indispensable for help with knee pain. I have severe arthritis of the knees, there's little room left in the joints and the cho-pat aids with walking, and golf (lessening the impact on the knee joint). At this time I credit their use with postponing knee replacements. Braces lock the knee, cho-pat allows the knee to shift as needed but lessens impact pain..

When necessary I had already used cho-pat knee straps for a few years and think they really do help a lot.
