The stages shown include a normal bronchus, hypersecretion of the mucous gland, swelling with lymphoid aggregations and smooth-muscle spasm. I purchased this in the fall as asthma season was gearing up. I have utilized it to educate several families about asthma and have found that they really appreciate the visual. My families seem to follow my asthma treatment plan more appropriately since they understand how the medications actually work on their child's lungs. Well worth the investment!
