The Sock Aid with Ridges is great for someone with difficulty bending down. The sock or stocking stays open as the three fingers gently bend to accommodate the contours of the heel and foot. The smooth inner surface allows foot to glide effortlessly into the sock while the outer embossed ridges hold the sock firmly in place.

I'm wondering if you can measure the plastic part, how wide is it? I have one now and I think it's too big, made for a wider foot, and I have trouble putting my stockings on it. Thank you.

It is about 5" wide.

Does this sock aid have the top handle separate for easier removal of apparatus?do any of the others?

The handles are seperate and can be attached and removed from the rest of the Sock Aid.

I liked this product once I learned how to use it. Had a difficult time getting the straps onto the buckles. Once I have the sock on the sock aid I had a difficult time getting my foot into the sock aid in order to pull with the straps the sock onto my foot. Would suggest a YouTube video on how to use. I searched however could not find one. However, the price is right. I am a 79 year old man with hip arthritis.
