I bought this for my dog who barks uncontrolably when someone comes to our home. I give Tucker a warning laser (which sometimes he doesn't see he is too busy barking) and when I pull the trigger, the barking stops. He will bark again and again I pull the trigger. If he sees it in my hand, he knows what is coming and his barking is far less. Works much better than my squirt bottle.

the only problem i have with these items is the wireing for battery connectors are a litte bit too short

This is my third one I have ordered. One for myself and two for friends. You state that it is good to run dogs away, mine does not. It is good on cats and at night where the geese can see the light will run them away. Wish had something that would deter them completely out of our yard. If you know of something let me know. As I previously stated this is great on cats and is the main reason for buying.
