I really like this reacher and is lightweight. It can pick up small and large things, yet strong

I bought two reachers about ten years ago. I could pick up a penny with them The ones I just got will not. The end is just about an eight of an inch short in coming together when you close them. I'm disappointed. This could be remedied if the manufacturers tried.

I have looked around for this particular kind of reacher, all I seem to be able to find are the suction cup kind, and these are better for specific grabbing.
