I always recommend keeping tea tree oil in the medicine cabinet. What makes Tea Tree Oil so great is its ability to absorb into your skin. Other antiseptics only cover your cut/burn and this is ok to disinfect the surface of your skin, but if your cut is deeper the oil will penetrate your skin and absorb into your flesh covering the cut/burn/infection. Tea Tree oil does have a very strong scent, so be prepared for that. I'm a fan of trying the natural approach before using harsher drugs/ointments.
