DescriptionDesigned and patented by a pharmacist and a physician, Talking Rx is a revolutionary tool that helps patients take their medications as prescribed.
The portable and re-usable device attaches to and fits common prescription bottles. Through its built-in digital memo recorder, Talking Rx provides up to sixty seconds of recorded instructions about a medical prescription: when to take the medication, how to take the medication, side effects and other important information from a patient's physician or pharmacist. The patient plays back these instructions by simply pressing the raised red button on the side of the Talking Rx device.
InstructionsHOW TO RECORD A MESSAGE
Locate the recessed button inside Talking Rx, and activate the recording function by depressing the button with the stylus that is in the package.
The button MUST be kept depressed during the entire time you are recording. The memo recorder has a built-in sixty-second chip, which provides plenty of time to record necessary information. Samples of the information that can be recorded include:
Name of the medication and the name of the person for whom it is prescribed
Instruction for proper use including time of day and number of capsules or tablets to take
Any special instructions or possible side effects
Name and telephone numbers of physician and pharmacy
Expiration date and refill information, including the prescription reorder number
