The Motion Detector with Remote Alarm is effective up to 100 feet away and is generally attached to the leg of the patient's bed for nighttime monitoring. However, the Motion Detector with Remote Alarm can be placed in any location that you want to monitor. Both the motion detector and remote alarm run on DC Power (9V battery).
The sensor is 4.25" H by 2.75" W and 1.5" D. The wireless chime measures 4.5" W and 3" H and .75" D

Purchased this motion detector for Mom who has dementia. The device worked great for a very short period. We purchased the device on December 14, 2012. it began working erratically by the end of Jan..sometimes alarming and sometimes not...and stopped working completely shortly thereafter. Wonder if anyone else has had this problem, or if perhaps the device we received was defective? Anyway..the only help we could get from Colonial Medical, from whom we purchased it...was to remind us that the return policy is 30 days. I am looking for another, hopefully, more reliable product, that hopefully has at least a 90 day warranty....
