This economical and easy-to-use alarm has been designed to work by simply plugging it into a 30-day IQ Easy chair or bed sensor pad. Voice prompts make the alarm easy to use and will not confuse staff. Alarm voice indicates "Alarm On" to let the caregiver know when alarm is on, "Alarm Armed" to indicate when pressure is applied to the pad, "Alarm Reset" to indicate when the alarm is reset, and "Low Battery" to indicate when it is time to change the batteries. An LCD button located on the front of alarm will illuminate green when system is ready for use, yellow when alarm is sounding, and red when the alarm has low battery power. This alarm is meant for single patient use. It is an economical solution to infection control and fall management issues while operating under a tight budget.
