This "Grabber" was purchased after experiencing difficulties with several differently designed ones, finding that they did not hold up to medium lifting requirements. The suction cup type grabber on this model enables me to pick up a dropped pill, piece of paper, or similar small thing. At the same time the heavy-duty construction enables me to lift down cans of food from my pantry. These may cost a little more than other highly advertised reachers, but in my opinion are worth the extra cost.
