Wireless Optical Sensor System
The Wireless Optical Sensor System decreases the risk of patient falls by monitoring for unwanted movement at the bedside. The optical sensor produces 7’ long optical beam that runs parallel to the bedside. When a hand, foot or head breaks the beam the alarm is triggered, alerting staff of a patient in need of assistance. The bedside patient alarm unit sounds, (if desired) and simultaneously sends a wireless signal to the remote alarm unit outside the patient’s door. The optical beam sensor monitors accurately - that means fewer false alarms! Patients can move freely on top of their beds because there are no pads, clips or cords! The Wireless Optical Sensor System features an infrared beam which does not extend beyond foot of bed, so staff will not accidentally set off alarm. With DOUBLE sensors you can monitor both sides of the bed together. The hold button keeps system from being inadvertently shut off and the nurse-call jack alerts the nurses station.
