I have extremely bad feet, fat pad atrophy, descended metatarsal,toes going up and sideways, on ball of foot constant formation of callus from bone - wear New Balance cushioning athletic shoe with N.B. cushioning insole, still have pain- the thickness of 1/4" gel in this sock has made an unbelievable difference, can't praise enough. You do need a shoe that will accommodate it, but it is wonderful

The gel padding is superior to anything I have yet found in the stores. My only complaint is that the small size (size 7-9) is a bit big for my size 5 feet, and I wish they came in black. Also they are very warm; not a problem in the winter, but in summer...
