The Aircast Knee Cyro Cuff system uses cold therapy and controlled compression to minimize edema hematoma, hemarthrosis, swelling and joint pain. The cuff is anatomically designed to completely fit around the knee attaches to a portable water cooler, which can hold enough ice water for up to eight hours of cold therapy. A high quality rubber tube safely transports the ice water from the cooler to the cuff, controlling the cold and helping to prevent tissue damage that can be caused by too cold temperatures.

  • Anatomic cuff design for complete coverage of affected area.
  • Measured compression for patient comfort.
  • Controlled cold eliminates the risk of tissue damage.
  • Detachable cooler allows for uninterrupted treatment.

Did not meet my expectations

The cryo cuff was purchased after I fractured my patella. When it arrived, I was shocked to realize that I paid $150 for parts that should be no where near that expensive. The need to manually lift the water cooler to fill and lower it to drain is an inconvenience. If you do not disconnect the hose from the cuff, it continues to fill or drain even when it is not raised or lowered. Also annoying is when you use the quick disconnect, as the instructions recommend, there is a small pool of water left in the cuff side which promptly drains on to your body. Maybe the electric model would work better. I didn't realize there was this option for an electric model when I purchased mine.

Life saver for knee surgery

I was given one of these by my hmo for total knee replacement surgery. Amazing device, light years beyond Ice packs. When pain got too much. I could always go back to knees up, aircast on, and pill up. For awhile I used it 24/7. In rehab I used it after therapy. If your hmo doesn't provide it, you buy it. If your loved one is going through Knee or joint surgery, and does not have access to one, you buy it for them. I can't say it enough about how this machine made a heavyweight life experience into a more manageable one. Thank-you Aircast.
