I liked that this gate was portable and I didn't need to install it into my wall. It works better when you use it in a doorframe though. When I had it in the entryway to my kitchen it rubbed some of the paint off the wall. When I took the gate down I had two circles where the rubber grips had been. At least it stayed secure!
